Guys, I could not resist and finally I called up the IIO @NSC to find out the status of my I-485. This is how it went:

Me: Good morning, I would like to know the status of my I-485 application please
IIO: Do you have your case number?
Me: Yes, I do, it is lin-01-272-xxxxx
IIO: We just got your response for additional information from you, actually on Jan 3rd, and it has been connected to your file and sent to the officer again for her review. It is under her review now. But be aware that it would take 14 to 18 months to receive the plastic card.
Me: I am not worried about my plastic card at all, all I am worried about is to hear about my approval.
IIO: (smile)Some people are calling in to know why their plastic cards did not arrive yet...
Me: OK, How long it would normally take to get a decision once the file goes to the officer for review after receiving the RFE response.
IIO: It depends, can not tell, but are you still at the same address, because that is important to us. When the case gets approved we will mail you the notice, what is your address..
Me: It is ......
IIO: That is what we got on file
Me: Thanks for all the information, bye

She sounded polite and willing to answer but the bottom line is the case is still pending adjudication. Hope to hear soon... Will keep you guys posted. Good weekend, happy valentine's day.
 
Can anyone give me the INS phone number for Nebraska? I have my LIN # with me at work, but not the phone #.

I'll update this board once I talk to IIO.

My RD is Nov. 5, 2001.
 
just spoke to iio, she said my case was assigned to officer on Dec/05/2002 but still no rfe no approval.

My attorney called first time INS-Neb about my case . As usual they told the same msg to my attorney. Its totally waste to call IIO and also attorney are not helpful. Only God can helpus.
