Can anyone tell me if the following can create problems:
I work for a consulting company, I am in I-485, probably around 5 months to go until GC.
My current contract is being renewed, for 8 months, but the nature of the contract is becoming "contract-to-hire". At the end of the contract ( at which point I will have GC probably ), either I get hired, or the contract ends.
Does this violate any rules? I am worrying in case the nature of this new contract signals an intention to work for someone else...before the GC is done.
