I need some advice on the continuous residency requirement for citizenship. I finish my 5 year period for application on Sept 26, 2006. From Sept 2001-2006, I have no trips outside the US that lasted for more than 6 months. I was working for Microsoft in India from Feb 2003 to Jan 2005. They did file for reentry permit and I filed my US income tax returns during this period. I made trips every 5 months to the US that lasted for a few weeks during this 2 year period. Could this be considered as a break in continuous residence. Anybody had a similar experience that could shed more light?
