Thank you for response to me Alex, and yes me and my wife filed I 130 1/14/2002, and we were not under LIFE law that ended 4/31/2001, and now i believe that law is still on hold, since 9-11 but i still am not sure why i cant file for a work permit is ther a another way we can file ???? 
thank you for site on forms i have printed some out but still confused in what this LIFE law status is.
