How and when does one contact the Mumbai consulate? My case was forwarded to them yesterday --
is it a good idea to contact them in two weeks?

I don't think it's a good idea to contact them sooner than 30 days after your case was forwarded to consulate. As per my experience it is much easier to contact them via e-mail. If I was you, I would wait until March 20th before I contact consulate.
Check cptracker.com to find out when your interview would likely be scheduled.

Thanks. On CP tracker, some people have entered dates when the packet 3 was entered by the consulate. Do you know how they found that out? Thanks.
