Contacting Senator - Does this help?

Folks,

Just wanted to know if it is worth while trying to contact the senator's office to expediate our case. Our application was incorrectly placed in the EB3 queue and I recently (June) contacted VSC and they moved it to the EB2 queue and said it is waiting to be assigned to an adjudicator. It's been over 45 days and still no word on it.

I'm currently in the I485 stage but my Labor PD is July 04. With the current demand for Visa numbers so heavy I'm not sure how long it would take for my turn to get a Visa Number.

On the other hand My Wife's Labor PD is Oct. 2001 from California and still not approved. (lot of 2002 & 2003 cases are getting approved) I was considering to contact a senator to help get the Labor approved. Could one of you please post a link to contact a senator and any formal information/letter to write or approach them.
