Contacting Congressman - Effects of offshoring

Friends!
My congressman is a Republican from VA and is currently following the study approved by the House to "assess either the short-term or the long-range effects of offshoring".
Personally I do not have any opinion about Democrats or Republicans but any ideas as to how their reactions would be towards our concerns in lieu of the ongoing offshoring issue?

I140 RD: 01/27/2004
I140 RFE: 04/28/2004(around that date)
I140 RFE reply sent: 06/30/2004
I485/EAD/AP RD: May 19 2004
Nothing happend till now...No EAD..NO AP...NO FP..NO 140
Sixth Year expired on 5/27/04
H1 seventh year extension RD: 4/28/2004. NO news yet.

Tell ur congressmen, there are tech sweatshops in China and India who are contacting US companies with pics / resumes of applicants and tech sweat-shops in those countries with rates for IT jobs of 15$/ hr...Thats really tough to top...US companies spend that rate amount in paying their in-house janitorial staff for cleaning their bathrooms here every day.

Well..I guess that wouldn't be the best way to REQUEST HELP..in getting out applications to move faster..in Employment Based PR's. Seriously man! we need to keep this in mind and should be ready to justify ourselves when we approach them..this question will surely haunt us! Atleast thats what I believe!!!

Contacting congressman

I have contacted my local congressman and Senator to look into my I-140 case. As you all know, I-140 dates at NSC are "dead stuck" on 09/15/03 for last several weeks and overall, in last 5+ months, they have moved by just 2 weeks

Did any one had a +ve OR a -ve experience on contacting congressman/Senator regarding your GC cases? Pl. share your experiences.
Thanks.
