Hi:

At the outset here are my details

GC Process started 1999
1st Labor Approved: Jun 2000
1st 140 denied: Jan 2001
2nd Labor (EB3/RIR/) approved: Dec 2001
I40 Approved: Sep 2002
485 RD: Jan 2003
1st FP: Mar 2003
1st EAD Mar 2003
2nd EAD Dec 2003
3rd EAD AD: Nov 2004
2nd FP ND: Nov 2004

--------------------------------------------------------------------

I was so tired to see cases submitted after my 485 RD date getting approved while I was still waiting for my turn.

I thought I should contact my Senator and I did on Oct 2004. No response from the Senator for a month..Then on Nov 1st week we get our 2nd FP Notice (self and wife)...then a few days latter we get a call from our Senator office..I was not at home hence could not attend the call...next day we receive a letter from the Senator's office...and same afternoon our 3rd EAD is approved (email from USCIS)...the letter from the senatore stated that our 485 is pending a FBI Name Check clearance and that we should hear from NSC in about 90-120 days.

I just now called the Senator's office and thanked them for their sincere effort..the office personell told me "call us if you have any problems or need assistance". I asked them what are the other steps which would be pending after the Name Check..he told me that there would be an interview and then the approval.

Let's see what happens.

So you attribute the EAD approval to the Senator. How do you know he/she actually helped, or you worded the subject sarcastically?

I contacted my Congresswoman and her office said the same thing. But when I asked them to follow up, they said they can only inquire every 3 months.
