contacted Ashoo's office

I contacted Patty Kim from Ashoo's office last Firday. Last time CSC responded "we are working very hard to reduce backlogs, I140 included" and I think that does not address our burning question at all to be able to use AC21 to go to the next employer in case of payoff, etc.

Patty satrted saying that CSC's response was sufficient. As regards to AC21, they have had many talks to CSC and the answer is always "I140 has to be approved before AC21 applies". She said she had no problem issuing something in print about that. LOL!

I kept asking her to issue another inquiry into CSC specifially asking about AC21 applicibility. I told her that she should press CSC to liberally interpret AC21 to help us who might be losing their entire three-year green card process as soon as tomorrow, due to the fault of CSC!

Her opinions are mainly from goverment or higer level point of view, without much caring for minorities or people who have these buring problems and can't sleep at night. For example, she said she understands CSC has to "try out" the pilot program before being able to identify a more efficient way so eventually more people would benefit. She does not care much about the unfairness. She also said the offices get requests from all different immigration areas, from citizenships to family reunion to I485. She cannot comment solely on I140, since CIS has to prioritize all these. She herself sound like a government official.

I was on the phone with her for more than 20 minutes. She eventually agreed to issue another letter to CSC asking for clearification on AC21, as a curtesy.

Any comments? We need more people to call her to follow up the AC21 question. 650-323-3498.

Do you want me to call or somebody from 14th district to call.
By the way you can call me on my cell and other phone numbers
and ask for help. By the way I didnt do follow up with Mike Hondas
(MH - CA 15) office as I saw the jit and felt as the dates are moving
whats the point in just putting pressure.

i was pushing for a guidence from uscis regarding AC21 applicibility on pending I140. It's an immidiate relief for many people. the JIT maybe fooling! i saw a lot of Aug 03 cases have not been processed. It'd be a lot of help if you can call Patty and ask about the status. she promised me to open an inquiry.

pls IM me you email and phone. i can't seem to find it.

Yes definitely the JIT dates are for fooling everyone.
My 140 RD is 08/26/03 my EAD and AP are on hold because of an RFE I received.
I will definitely give her a call on Monday 10/04. I would urge more people who have 140 still pending since May/June/July/August 03 to give her a call, the more people we gather the more we can make aware that CSC is merely trying to fool everyone and show that the backlogs are under control.

whorl1quote,
I tried calling her twice, the operator said she is not at her desk. I dont know if she is screening calls, how did you get hold of her?

hate140delay, I think it's possible she is not in today. I think i was lucky to get hold of her on that particular day. How about try another few times and if you still cannot get hold of her, please ask the operator to leave her a message. In the message please remind Patty that she needs to send in inquiry into CSC about AC21 on pending I140s.

Did you check your PM?
