Guys:

Whoever this columnist in WSJ is....he is on our side...he presented only a part of our story....a very small part....he just mentioned the wait......not the rest of our griefs.......how about we send him an e-mail/fax/letter with our stories and what we write to the senators and ask him to write an xtended article....we would get some real good coverage almost for free............and also mention that we have sent a lot of letters to senators too....

What do yiu guys think of this? This is a golden opportunity for us.....

Gary becker is a nobel prize winner!!

"Mr. Becker, the 1992 Nobel laureate in economics, is University Professor of Economics and Sociology at the University of Chicago and the Rose-Marie and Jack R. Anderson Senior Fellow at Stanford's Hoover Institution."

Even if he endorses our statements it would be something....and if he writes a column for us....or an article in his blog (http://www.becker-posner-blog.com/) that would be just great......but he is going to look at what we say very logically and objectively...so we have to be careful about how we word our plights...he wont just want a sob story........

Guys...post your thoughts and lets see if we can capitalize on his endorsement and use it in our S.1932 efforts before it is presented for discussion .

Oh common you all! Is it really going to help if we contact/write to Mr. Becker? I mean he knows it already! I think we should use his ideas to our advantage. Just use his thoughts and ideas when we write to those who are going to be more helpful.

Heres more from my other post:

Mr. Gary Becker's views are well known. I agree that we need to make use of his "favorable" thoughts, and spin this to our advantage. Mainly because. lets face it, I don't think he can directly influence the committee members that are going to meet next week to decide our fate! I also don't think that we should mistake him to be pro-India, but at least he understand the value we add here in the US! ;-)

He used to be refular writer for businessweek, and has written about India occassionally.
