I am planning to contact a local senator(Virginia), anyone out there available to share experience? Does it really help or worsten the case ? Could anyone share the template leter to send to the senator ?

I contacted my congress man here is how I did:

Go to the website I believe it is something like congress.gov, type in your zip code to know exactly who represent you, go to his or hers website. There you probably find an explanation how to contact him/her.

In my case, there was a form you had to fill out to give the congressman permission to review your case. It was straight forward.

I stopped at the form because I am still within the projected time range and I did not want to use the option until more critical/important.

Honestly, I can't advise you. I understand this is very frustrating....

RD: 11/26/01
ND: 12/03/01

Good Luck to all of us......

I am from VA and I did contact my Senator....but I think it is of no use... as In my case I got RFE when case# around me where getting RFE's or transfer or approval...
So in short...I think it is of no use... but you can try...
I hope it works out in your case...
Good Luck

It depends where you live becoz the senator and congressmen differ with area in VA. George Allen and Tom Davis are the ones in Alexandria / Fairfax Area. you can go to the email of Tom Davis @ Congressman.gov they will take about 2 months to answer you. The answer is not more than what you know.It is better if you visit there office may be things work out faster.
