contact senator about FP

I want to contact the senator (local office) today to ask their help. Do you think it's going to work? Any disadvantages? Just for requesting FP.

I doubt there are any disadvantages, but I doubt it will help either. They will just reverberate the current processing date back to you, which wil be no help to you.
