Contact Congressman

I am planning to contact the local congressman to try to get some help on my I-485, which has been pending over 3 years in TSC. I need some tips on how to write such letter: such as

1. Should I state my case briefly or in detail?
2. Should I give them the SRC # and A #?
3. Email or snail mail, which one is more responsive?

Any advice is greatly appreciated.

You can certianly write about your personal hardship. Ask for personal meeting. Be sure to attach the general petition or the link to the website where they can find thousands of signature. Read my thread about write to your congressman.

xiaoshan,
First, find the congressman for your electoral district at:

www.congress.org

then type your zip code. If the congressperson has a website, go to that website and download a confidentiality form, fill it out, and fax it back to their office. The form will ask your SSN, LIN, address, etc. They will contact you shortly thereafter. I hope this helps.

Iy may help to visit personally

I walked into the local rep's office without an appointment and had a very satisfactory experience. My second fingerprinting was expedited immediately and I am now optimistic that my processing would get back on track.
