Can a H-1b holder get fee or remuneration ??
For example, if my story/article is published in readers digest and they pay me. Is that OK. Also if I want to sell some intellectual property (like a story) can I do that ?
How about a consultation fee. I am a subject matter expert in a certain field and some company who is writing stories in that subject wants to pay me for my consultation. Can I receive money from them as a consultation fee/remuneration ?
I am in IT , but the money I would get is in Anthropology/culture related.
