Consulor processing and get work permit at the same time

My husband is a citizen and wanted to file 1-130 for me (I am currently on H1B). I am thinking to do consulor processing instead of adjustment of status (filing I-485) since it is faster. Can I still get my work permint and advance parole while waiting for I-130 to be approved.

As I understand it

You do not need parole if you are going for CP. I think to apply for EAD, you have to have applied for AOS (485).
