I have a unique(atleast i think its unique.. problem
My father, the Sponsor, is a US Citizen, retired with SS benefits and has not filed (not obligated to) Taxes for past two years and so I co sponsored my sister (in India) the Beneficiary or Sponsored immigrant. During her GC interview, she was asked to provide my copy of new green card. (old one was expired). Consular officer insisted new card copy. I filed for renewal in Dec 2006 and was stamped on my passport temporary evidence for one year. Is that enough for proof? Or do I need to wait until I get new green card?
