Consulat Processing Family addition

All,

My lawyer said that upon receipt of the visa fee bill she found that the CIS had not included my spouse and son on the application.

NVC has given me a case number for montreal. The question is how can I add them to my case. She says we need to apply for I-824 and make an ammendment that could take an eternity.

Please help if any one has gone through this.

Thanks

If your spouse and son were part of your I-140 petition then
this would be a simple oversight on the part of NVC and
corrected easily.

Your attorney should contact NVC , Portsmouth, NH to get the fee bills for them.

Your attorney is not entirely incorrect in suggesting the filing of
form I-824, because this form IS ALSO used in cases where
the main applicant opts for AOS and wants his immediate
family members be allowed to appear at a consulate as
follow-to-join.

However, in your case it may not be needed.
