Consular Processing

I would like to know more about Consular processing. Can someone guide me to get more information about it.

I am looking more in the lines of:
1) what it takes to apply?

2) How long will it take to get GC through Consular processing?

3) Comparision between I-485 and Consular processing? Pro's and Con's with each
