Hi immigration guru,
I am sure this is one of the topics, which has been discussed many times. However, I am a newbie to this forum and couldn't find the related threads.
So, if you could point me to the discussion thread or if you have
any input, please let me know.
My situation is as follows:
I just recevied my LC recently, and now deciding whether I should
choose to go CP or AOS. I am a Canadian citizen and living in CA.
The USCIS site shows that I-140 processing is currently taking
about a year and AOS would take at least 2 yrs. Assuming I don't
change job for the next 2 years, but cannot predict whether
a layoff would happen or not. What's my best option?
Is anyone currently doing/has done a CP from CA service centre and
has chosen Montreal (the only Canadian consullate accepting CP?)?
What's the situation at Montreal consulate?
BTW, I saw references to POE and DOE. What are they?
Thanks a bunch
