I am a Canadian citizen, residing in Canada. I have an approved I130, pending immigrant visa at NVC, my PD is Jan 2004. Some questions:
1. When my PD becomes current, and I call NVC for an interview, have the interview, then what is the next step and how long does that step usually take?
2. After the consular processing in Montreal, assuming the officer approves, then how long do I have before I must move to the US? Can I keep living in Canada for, say, 1 year after that trying to land a job in the US?
3. Can you please point me out to a a thread or forum that explains the process from interview to GC?
