HI friends/gurus, please guide: is there any thread which gives the pros and cons of CP v/s 485?

any guidelines on the following will be appreciated:
what would be more appropriate in todays scenario: CP or 485?
How long does CP Mumbai take?
Any problems/issues that can be faced with CP?
What is there is any rejection at the interview time - can I return to the US on my H1 and refile the application all over again?
