Consular Processing & I-140/I-485 Processing

ME and my wife both are in labor approved stage ,
We like to apply one with Consular Processing and the other with Concurrent I-140/I-485 Processing .

1. Are we eligible to do that ?
2. In case if any thing went wrong in consular processing , can we still come back to US ? Assuming both the I-140's are approved .

Can you please advise us !

{There is no harm or risk in having two cases in process seperately}
2. In case if any thing went wrong in consular processing , can we still come back to US ? Assuming both the I-140's are approved .

{At the point where you have attended your cp interview you are more
or less tied to that case. They normally cancel your earlier visas. The
reasons for any denial are very few and such reasons can infact affect
your AOS process also. But I have to repeat that denials are very rare}
