Hi all:

Can I apply for CP in Canada on the basis that I am a Canadian Landed Immigrant (Permanent Resident) and Indian Citizen?

Is CP available only from Montreal or also from one of the other US Consulates like Vancouver?

Dude, Check this out:

I don't live in Canada. I landed in March 2003 and stayed there for a week. I did receive my PR cards.

I did write an e-mail to U.S. consulate immigrant visa section in Montreal, Canada. Here is the response:

Once your petition is approved it will be sent to NVC and as long as you can prove that you are still a landed immigrant in Canada, then you can apply in Montreal.

- Can we apply for CP in Vancouver or only at Montreal?
- Is CP from Montreal/Vancouver faster than Chennai?
- What impact does CP have on employer's documents like profitability etc?

Hello

You can apply for CP in Canada.

I also went through CP in montreal.

Also Montreal is the only consulate that handles CP cases.
