Consular Processing & 7th year extn Visa

Hi All,

My 6th year H1B visa has expired on July 2004 and I have applied for 7th year extn in July 2004 based on my pending Green card. My Green card Labor's priority date is Jan 2003 and the labor was approved in July 2003.
Subsequently my I-140 was approved in May 2004.

When filing I-140, my case was opted for Consular Processing. Now the relevant file has been sent to Chennai consulate on Dec 2nd 2004.

As we all know the Priority date has retrogressed to Jan 2002, what would happen to:

1. My interview call for Green card Stamping...will it get postponed?
2. My 7th year extn Visa (Not sure as my Interview call from Chennai
Consulate may delay even for a year)

WILL I QUALIFY FOR MY 7th YEAR EXTN VISA?

Please advise.....

You are eligible for 7th year extension. If your immigration extends beyond july 2005, you can apply for another extension of H1B

Yes you can go for the additional years of extensions with approved 140 (pending CP).
