consular process in chennai

I need some info about the consular process interview procedure in chennai. Somebody told me that they r not accepting employment based (I-140)greencard applicants. Is it true?

Can someone give me some inside scoop?

if your priority date is current and if your file has been mailed to chennai from the NVC you should be able to get the interview date.
 
My daughter a USC filed I-130 on May 23,2006 and I-129F/K3 on september 22,2006. In the I-130 Petition she mentioned that she was planning to apply K-3 for her spouse and that he would apply for K-3 Visa in Chennai-India and then Adjust status in the US.

On Nov 18, 2006 both I-130 and I-129F petitions were approved but the I-130 presumed that her spouse to be in the US and said he should file I-485 for Adjustment of Status or if he decided to Adjust status outside the US, then she file I-824 for sending the petition to NVC. The I-129F approval says the approval notice has been sent to NVC.

What has she to do? Just go with the K3 or file I-824 to send the petition to NVC for consular processing since this gets you the GC in one shot. Further will there be a long delay if he travelled to the US on K3 and filed I-485 for adjustment of status in US.

Any advice is appreciated.
