Connections between spouse GC approvals?

Hi, gurus, following questions is from my friend:

" I submitted my and my husband's I485 applications at the end of August. I got my GC at the end of Oct. And till today my husband's I485 is still pending. We called USCIS and was informed that his case was under security check. We're from different countries but neither of us is from retrogression country. Gurus, do they consider spouse's approval in this case? Anyone is in the same boat? Any ideas? Thanks"

What did you mean "do they consider spouse's approval in this case"? Anyway, your husband is probably stuck in the FBI name check (or under other names such as background check or security check). Once he's in that black hole, it'll probably take him years to get out and be approved. I'm not trying to scare you, but this happens to too many people. Just check the name check threads on this forum.
