regarding request for expeditious processing of my I-730 state:

"Please be advised that the BCIS has final jurisdiction in this metter and that my office cannot override any decisions made by the BCIS"

Does anybody know Is this in accordance with:

Congressmen Explanation of Service state the following:

The House of Commitie on Standards of Official Conduct allows Member of the House of Representatives...bla.bla, bla.....to arrange appointments or where appropriate, EXPRESS JUDGMENT OR ASK FOR RECONSIDERATION OF AN ADMINISTRATIVE DECISION.

So who's in who jurisdiction? Who have the final word?

Thank You

I am in NC and and I have had two good experiences with Senator Jesse Helms' office.

I applied of asylum in 1992 and for five years my application was stalled. I received an interview notice in 1997--only two weeks after Senator Helm's staff contacted the asylum office for me.

Last year, I had to travel for an emergency and Helms' staff was once again able to expedited the process for me.
