Congressman letter format....

Can someone provide the format for the letter to Congressman ? Also at what stage should we get in touch with Congressman. VSC gives the standard 60 days message...Haven't heard from FBI in more than four months. Is it time to contact the Congressman and how helpful are they really ? Would appreciate some insight and personal experiences...

I am requesting you to help me with my I485 case at BSCIS -Vermont Service center.
Please find below the details of my case –
Receipt # :- EAC-xx-xxx-xx782 Alien # :- Axx xxx xxx

BSCIS (Vermont) is currently processing cases for Receipt Date of October 22, 2003, and mine is 10 months older than the current processing date. Find attached the response you got from BSCIS about priority dates. However, the reason they have given (my priority date 2/14/2002 and BSCIS processing dates upto 1/1/2002) does not hold good anymore as the BSCIS is now processing cases upto 3/1/2002. Call them up first. Mine give me an appointment the next day and made the call on the spot. Of course, the result is delayed...
 
Should I wait for FBI mail first ?

thanks for the response. My local congressman's office is few miles from home. I called up their office and they said that I could come over with the details and speak to the person in Immigration section of the office.

LiveAndLetLive, i want to contact congressman or senator regarding I-140/485 filed in NSC in 06/04 . But currently NSC is processing I-140 at 11/03.
Should i contact via email or phone or personal (take an appointment at senator office) ?
Did anyone contacted local senator in NJ? I live in NJ.
