Congressman and I-485

People in this forum say that if you want your case to move forward you can write to your congressman and have them investigate the case for you? What exactly that congressman can do with USCIS? Can they really speed up your process? Like get your approval of I485 faster? or they actually have no voice in USCIS department?

congressperson can inquire the status of the USCIS case.. and in most cases only if your case is outside the USCIS processing dates..

They CANNOT fasten the process..
