Got this follwoing response from USCIS via senator's office on June 13th, 2005. Any idea how long it takes after this ...

" Like applications received in March 2003 are currently being adjudicated. Security review process is being completed at this time. Once that occurs the file will be scheduled for officer assignment."

RD I-485 : 3/31/2003
Approved I-140: 4/1/2004

Paul Wi...few questions..

Paul_Wi...have few questions related to your case:
- whats your PD?
- are you EB2 or EB3?
- Are you from retrogressed country?
- Did you had your Biometric? what code - 2 or 3?

Thanks in advance.

Malia, firstly, excuse my lack of knowledge regarding immigration process. To be honest I was not paying any attention till June, 2005 when I came to know my friend who applied about the same time frame as mine have been approved.

To answer your question,

- How do I know my PD?
- I am EB2, I think..any way to double check..
- retrogressed country? sorry, don't know. I am from Bangladesh
- Biometric? Had 2nd FP in 12/2004.

Does it help. Please answer and I will try to clarify more. Thanks a lot.

Thanks..Paul Wi...you answered my all questions..

You are EB2 & from Bangladesh are answers to my questions..Thanks & appreciate for sharing your case info with all of us..

wish you luck

I am just amazed how creative those people become when it comes to inquiry results... It varies from "due to increasing work load", "short of manpower", "USCIS submited extra 2.7 mil name check requests", "under security check"..... But it is the first time for me to see "...are being adjudicated", "is being completed". That does sounds much better than the rest, but if think about it, they are talking about the same thing: your application is still pending!

I wonder if USCIS has a "Creative Writing Department" whose staff's full time job is to develop those B.S.

In GRE/GMAT grammer, it is incorrect to say "is being completed" or "is being adjudicated". Isn't ironic that we aliens have better senses in grammer than those Americans work for immigration services?
