Confusion on FP notice recieved, due on 11/5

Hi Guys,

I am living in Bay area, California. I got FP notice for my case filed in Vermont on 6/27/2003. The FP notice date is 10/21 and FP date is 11/12/2004.

The application support center for finger printing is -

INS Oakland, 2040 telegraph Ave, Oakland, CA 94612

Q1. Is this the same office which is located at the civic center, 12th street, Oakland?


Also, I have received the FP notice in form of I-797 e.g. notice of action. One of my friend has also received FP notice but it is on a normal paper, not in the form of I-797.

Q2. Can someone clarify if the FP notice received by you was in form of I - 797 notice of action.

There is no reference to my case number on the FP notice. Instead, it has application number FPS*00270**** and A#. It also has got the priority date on it, which is RD of my I 485 application. My friend has got the WAC number on the notice and there is no priority date.

Q3. In your FP notice, did you have application number same as case number or some different number like I have got? Did you have priority date also on it?


I am confused on why the FP's are different for me and my friend.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Sorry guys, the FP date is 11/12/2004, NOT 11/5/2004.
