Hi all. My wife and I were married in Sept 26, 2005. We filed for her green card her in Nov 2005. We did her FP March 10, 2006 in Indianapolis. We recieved a request for more evidence the following week. We mailed out the stuff they asked for that same week. A few days later I got an email thanking us for the additional info and notice of her work authroization approval. Yesterday we received our "Initial" interview appointment for May 11, 2006. I am a little confused. Is this a bit fast for the whole process? If this is the initial interview will there be others? Can they approve us at this interview? We are both a little nervous about the interview. What kinds of questions will they be asking? Thanks for any info you can provide us.

Your timeline is kinda normal, nothing to worry about.

If everything is allright with your case and the officer is satisfied, you probably will get approved on the day of your interview if your FBI namecheck is complete by then.

If the officer thinks your marriage is not bonafide, you will be deinied or there will be a seond followup interview called the 'stokes interview' which is very nerve wrecking and harsh.

I just found this site today and have spent over 3hrs reading your post.

I must say thank you to everyone that is taking their time to reply, alot of us that are just starting the AOS process are really encouraged.

I am just curious what they asked for in the RFE, I have read alot of post that they ask for RFE and I am wondering what docs they do ask for.

for me I just mail my application on the 24d of March and I am praying to get the notice letter this week.

Whatever is missing from your original application, if anything. If you've done your homework it's a good chance you may not get a RFE ;)

I wouldn't be so sure. We sent everything they needed minus the I-94 since a while back she mistakenly sent them her original when she was requesting an extention. We sent them a color copy of her passport with the entrance stamp along with other stuff showing her legal entrance tot he US. We get a request for proof of legal entrance. We sent the same crap we sent initially. They then sent a thank you for the info. They already had the stuff. Why did they ask for and accept the same stuff again?
 
Different people receive the information so probably another person who received your RFE is satisfied for the same thing, in your case you are lucky is that they did accept that copy of the stamp as proof of her entry. The must is the copy of the I-94 card, so the first statement prevails, normally and most of the time they ask for things that you should send the first time.
