My family have been holding a PR status since Mar-2002 & have not traveled outside of US since then. Due to family emergency & medical attention, my spouse and kids will be moving back this May-2005. This means, we have maintained 38 months of continuous residency for the citizenship 30 months minimum requirement. I will back in Aug-2005 (after 3 months stay outside) & continue to maintain my continuous residency. My spouse & kids will try to enter US every 6 months (before 180 days) and stay for few weeks. Having said that, the confusion now is,
1. Will the spouse and kids be maintaining "continuous residency" status & have no problems when filing for citizenship along with me at the end of 5 years?
2. Is it total 6 months (every year) that you need to stay in US to prove CR or is it, you should not be staying abroad for any "single stay" over 6 months that breaks the continuous residency requirements ?
