1) I'd ask your lawyer if they can clarify what is meant by 'security review'. Could be anything from a hit in the name check database to fingerprints. Could be that the USCIS is just waiting for a response from a particular security agency.

2) As far as I know there is nothing you can do to expedite a USCIS security check. When they get whatever results they are waiting for, they will move on with your case. If there is a potential match with something in the databases, they might transfer the case for local interview.

Can you think of anything that might have come up in their checks? Arrest record or anything?

Hello

Thanks for your reply !
I asked him he says since i lived in 5 cities they go to each city to check for my criminal record.
In my 6 years i have been given one traffic voilation for stop sign violation.
i do not know weather he is lying so i asked him to fax me the copy he got!surprising thing is all the people who applied in oct-dec 2003 timeframe in my company are getting their approval.

so this confuses me still as none of oct-dec 2002 in my compnay filers are geting thier approval.

alright time to move on ....

INS Security Check Update

Hope this helps ! every case is under going ot only mine .........
i am cool now

INS has instituted a new process whereby all petitions and applications are being subjected to a new security check. These new checks are apparently being required even for those cases in which a good deal of processing has already taken place.

While the new security check mandate is in effect at all INS offices nationwide, implementation of the new process has been uneven at best, as some INS offices reportedly have limited access to the Interagency Border Inspection System (IBIS) database against which the checks are performed, and even where IBIS is available, many INS officers have yet to receive training on the system.

As a result, we are expecting longer processing times and changes in INS District Office hours.

Then there is nothing to worry about. Traffic citations do not count. If they are having to check with five or more police districts, I guess that could take a little time. I'm sure it will play out for you soon, and well.
