My wife and I got our Oath Letter and our oath in on 16th November 2005. Meanwhile my wife received "JUROR SUMMONS" questing that her services will be required from 12/19/05 thru 12/23/05. They asked her to fill out the form and send it immediately.

My question is if She check "Qualified" box, then it is not true as she is not US Citizen as of today. On the other hand if chek "I am not a citizen of United State" box (which will disqualify her from Jury Duty), then it may seem that she may be giving excuse, as she know that she will be US Citizen by the time her services required.

What should she do? Please advice ASAP. I would appreciate if someone who is knowlegeable (Like JonnyCash) about the law throw some light on it.

Thank You in advance for your time and efforts.

She should check-Not Qualified. Because she is not a US citizen yet. Just because N-400 got approved for her, doesn't mean that she automatically became a US citizen. Until an Oath is taken, nobody can be a US citizen.

Make sure she should send the copy of her green card to Court to prove that she is not a US Citizen as she is only a green card holder. They won't ask anything from her then. Courts send Juror letter to even illegals as they get the names and addresses from various sources like DMV and etc.

Good Luck.
