Confused !!! any one in the similar situation

Case has been in local office since JULY 2004.was interviewed in OCT 2004.
Case stuck first due to Name check /Background check.....then was told that Back ground check was complete but now stuck in Retrogression.
PD current for over 6 ,months.
Confusion is I had FP number 3 in december. at the same time aslo recd a reply to my enquiryMade in End NOvemebr) in Jan that "certain security checks are pending".
Now I dont understand why they asked for MY FP( Code 1). Was it for my EAD renewals or was it just to keep the file updated ......
Open to any ideas or any guesses.....

Gives us the time lines of ur EAD and Fingerprints and PD. Then someone will be able to predict whats going on.

Here are the times........
EB3 PD Feb2001
EAD renewal PD was 4 december 2006.renwal feb 21 2007
BIOmetrics Code 2 FP for EAD recd from MSC on 8th december and completed on 18th December.
RECD FP CODE 1 ( for self and spouse ) from Local office dated 19th December and completed on 23rd decmeber.
attorney letter enquiry dated 2 december .
Reply letter dated Jan 22nd ..Pending checks.

History.Interview done oct 2004.....passport not Stamped.
Enquiry after 6 months....Pending review.......
Enquiry Infopass again in December 2005 told Back ground check is complete..PD not current.

Infopass again after 6 months.......Now new statement pending Emplyment check.PD was current at that time.........

You approval is on the way........ if your case not transfered to NSC. If transfered, then may be little delay. Now everything is getting streamlined. So All old timers should be getting approved soooon...........

With the trend we are seeing......... You should be done pretty sooon........

My case is at the local office at LA after interview.
Why would they transfer if at all to VSC
PLus they sent me letter after my FP that the case is still pending checks.....

Hi Al_aos ,

I'm in almost the same situation , but i did not got my interview yet !!! My PD is also current for 6 months now , but no answers yet !!! I had to continue to press them and finally they did my FP's again , wich were expired ( 28 months since the last FP taken !!! ), also they were cleared the same day and returned to USCIS !!! Now , who knows ...
I think that you should press them more and more , with inquieries and infopasses , push them hard and you'll get eventually an answer soon !!! If your case will be transfered to original processing office , you'll get the aproval from there !!! Just stay on top of them , and if that happens , keep pressing them !!! Good luck buddy , and hopefully you'll get done soon !!!

Everytime I make an infopass they just tell me something and then hand me over aletter which basically says dont bother us for another 6 months.
I am sick of this game USCIS plays.

Hi Al aos,
My friend don't give up !!! I now your frustration , but i'm telling you that i'm doing infopasses every 3-4 weeks , until they get tired of seeing me there !!! I think they do not have any reason to delay our cases , and solve new ones , it is our turn now , we've waited on line like everybody else , so keep pushing on them !!! Everytime i went there , i've asked to speak with a supervisor , because the CS guys ( they don't talk to much and are "stuck" in their responses ) just want to get rid of us fast , and i'm sure that they will do something soon about this !!! Keep it up , don't let them breath at all , is our time now !!!
