1-800-375-5283 is the toll-free number to Immigration where you can ask certain questions.

This is website that will tell you where to file and about the forms needed
http://www.uscis.gov/graphics/index.htm

If I were you I wouldn't take it slow because this is a TEDIOUS process :o

I would take it "CAREFULLY" :p

Just kidding. Get ready for a "Rough Ride" :o (not kidding)

Ha ha! Good luck

Incorrect.

Any family-based (marriage to USC) Adjustment of Status application packages must be sent to the Chicago Lockbox.

And I-130 should be filed concurrently with I-485
Sarrebal,
Read again what gunt said:
if you live in Iowa you and you file only the I-130, it must go to the Nebraska Service Center.

If you file the I-130 and the I-485 concurrently, it must go to Chicago.
http://www.uscis.gov/graphics/formsfee/forms/i-485.htm."
What is incorrect here?
Actually, what you quoted is not what he said.

Ok.
The post has been modified.
No need to heat things up.
If you only file I-130 then go ahead with service center.
But since that only delays application, I recommend to file concurrently I-130 & I-485 at the Chicago Lockbox.

Ok. That makes sense, otherwise it looked like you modified the original post.
Gunt should have said about not being clear instead of modifying his post.
I have no intention to heat things up!
If the petitioned relative is in US, of course it makes sense to file concurrently. But, if the relative is not in US then you need to file I-130 only.
So, I thought someone might get confused reading this thread, and wanted to straighten it out.
That's all. :)
