Confused about visa's

Hello, I can really use some advice on visas. My fiancee and I are getting married in January 2006, and then filing papers for spouse visa. Basically we are getting married, then after spending some time together he will go back home to Great Britian and take care of things there while paper work is being processed. Hoping the spouse visa will be approved. Some have said he can stay for up to 6 months then file paper work, but others have said different. Does anyone have any suggestions on this?

I think people get confuse about the stay as a tourist visa that is up to 6 months (normally) but if you are in the visa waiver program then your stay is not so long.
Anyway, can I asume that you are a USC? after he goes back to the UK you can file for him his I-130, after approval the NVC (National visa Center) will send you a packet with other forms that you and him will need to fill out.
Good luck,

Well, that depends to what you are comparing from. If it's faster than if you were a permanent resident, the answer will be yes.
Anyway, he will be an immediate relative of a USC so at least he doesn't need to wait for a visa number. Take in mind that the wait can be up to several months.
