Confused about the current 485 approval date?

xbzero, you are not missing anything

Murthy website says their dates are not actual USCIS processing dates, these are the dates that their actual clients have recd approvals for. So what's new, we have seen approvals right here on this forum for dates up to ND of May 2003 or even later than that.
Basically USCIS is processing all over the place, the FIFO policy is only on paper.

So the Murphy web site is actually saying the "Most recent"
approval is Oct/04. It should be an average number to make sense
to me.

So may be the actual approval date is

(Murphy10.07.2002 + USCIS02.15.2002) / 2 = 06.12.2002 ?

Is this number close to your estimate of the "Average date"?

You did not study statistics properly. :D Averages are defined in many ways - mean is one one of them. Other common ones are median and mode. And lastly USCIS doesn't knows counting. Don't you think you are asking too much? :D

No, I used to ask too much... but that got changed
years ago when the green card process got started...

This process changed hoiw I look at things in a big way...
