Confused about sponsor/joint-sponsor , etc...

I have a sponsor for my marriage which will be in a couple of months.
My sponsor will provide us with full financial support and will be the ONLY supporter, and the relationship with them is a "friend".

I'm confusing about I-864, I-864A, and it is hard to figure out which is which.

Bottomline is, I will be speaking to my sponsor tonight and I want to find out what documents that she needs to gather.

I think she needs her tax returns for the last 2 or 3 years, plus her letter of employment and proof of employment. You also need to find out what her salary is and how many dependents she has to make sure she is eligible to sponsor you.

The petitioner/your spouse will still have to fill out the I-864, even if the income does not qualify.
