Confused about my 140 status

Hi All,
My Details are
EB3 concurrent
I140/I485 RD 06/05/03 (EAC-03-191-xxXXX) for I140 and 485
ND 06/18/03
EAD approved 07/01/2003
FP Done 4/10/04

The first letter from USCIS regarding my 140, was lost in mail. Lawyer said that that letter was just the reciept notice and as long as I have the case number(back of the cleared check) its fine. she,however, sent letter to uscis to send a duplicate.

Case got updated on may 3rd 2004. -- "A duplicate letter regarding this case has been sent". so far so good..

Got a copy of that letter from lawyer yesterday and that says "The above petition has been approved :eek: .The person will be notified separated when decision on pending adjustment is made.."

this does not look like a reciept to me cos there are no amounts on it. The Notice type is "Duplicate Approval Notice".

so , does that mean that my 140 was approved in 2003 itself and that the post office misplaced it ? :confused: :mad:

also the online case status does not say "case approved" . It says "duplicate notice sent". Phone message also says " Duplicate letter sent". How can i know for sure that case is approved?? :confused:

if this is the approval notice, then where is my reciept?
have ppl in this group got approval notice without getting 140 reciept? is the recipt important at all?

The notice date on the letter is May 3 2004.
The Priority Date on the 140 is June 28 2001 :eek::confused:
i applied for 140 only in June 2003. cant understand that part..

getting my lawyers voice mail for the past two days.. :mad: .think am gonna combust coming up with theories regarding which of brigands q i belong to now :D
 
Did you call the VSC service center? Probably, that might help.. If you application was approved already, Congratulations!

You are approved. Do not insist that VSC send you confirmation with 'Maa Kasam' written and signed by officer. :D

usually i dont accept anything from uscis unless signed in blood :D . but i hope that u are right..

As long as the Reciept # on the cleared check and the one on the approval letter matches, u r good to go..
