Confused about Continuous Residence

Hi, I am not sure if I understood the continuous residence requirement correctly. I have completed more than 30 months of Physical Presence in the US in the 5 years after GC approval. However in the last 12 months if I have made 2 trips outside, each of 4 months duration, then the total duration outside in the last 12 months would be 4+4=8 months. Since this is more than 6 months outside in a 12 month span, does if satisfy the continuous residence requirement?

I believe it has to be more than 6 months at each one time to break continuous residency

6 months in one go will create a presumed break in continuous residence, but they are not restricted to that condition alone. A long string of four or five consecutive 5 month trips can be deemed to be a break in residence.
