Conflicting Stories about I-485 application

2 Weeks Ago-
Call USCIS customer suuport center about I-485 application and was told by IO that security check is pending.

Last Week-
Went to local INS office using infopass and ask about I 485 application and told by officer that my name check has been cleared and file is with IO

Call USCIS customer support center just to see the status of my pending EAD application (pending since 06/14) and on the side note asked for I-485 status as well. Surprisingly IO told me that my permanent residence card was mailed to address on file on May, 08th 2007. As I told him I have not recievd it yet so he asked my complete name, SSN, DOB and current address and told me that I will have it received in mail in 2 weeks. He also gave me a reference number and told me if I will not recieved it call again.

Online status has not change and LUD was on 05/24/2007

My question is who to believe?????

Really confuse......anyone has/had the same situation....

Please help!!
 
never heard of it, but if the IO is correct - congratulations. What is the online status of your application?

You sure it was IO and not the customer service rep?
Have you ever missed any notice from USCIS (May 2007 +/- 1 month)?

It was CSR who looked into my case and came back with approval story........but he had all the information correct though.
 
My wild guess, you might have the "Document mailed to applicant status" -- if this is your status, then USCIS might have re-send you some document (FP notice, SR response etc) to the correct address..

The CSR reps are smart enough to interpret it as GC...

Better you check with IO using POJ method..or take an infopass and confirm
 
Ask your lawyer to call up and find out whats going on. Or set up a SR.

I have a feeling the previous poster is right and it was just "document mailed". But if you were approved - congratulations!
