Hello,

If we send "Change of Address" via certified mail with "Return Receipt" - will INS send us back the "Return Receipt" signed by them? That way - we have a confirmation that they have received that...

Has anybody done this?

Thanks

You will have two receipts to back you up when you
send a certified mail. The first one is one
you get when you send it. The second one
is optional with addtional charge. The post
office stick the second one (in the form
of something like a post card) to the
letter. When the INS received the letter
they sign the card and the card will
mail to you like it is a post card.

I usually do the same for filing tax return.

Be sure that you write AR-11 on
both receitpts or otherwise INS
may insist the letter was not
about change of address :)

I have always sent it only certified mail. No RR.

Tax Return only sent ordinary mail ... ;)
