Confirm EAD renewal document checklist

Hello All,

I am applying for my wife's EAD renewal. She is the derivative applicant on I485, me being the primary applicant. So I just wanted to confirm the list of documents that needs to be sent for EAD renewal.

1) I-765 form and photos.
2) Her I-485 receipt notice.
3) Her I-765 receipt notice.
4) Copies of current EAD, drivers license, passport, EAD Mailer.

are the following documents needs as well ?
1) My I-140 approval notice.
2) My I-485 receipt notice.

I don't understand your #3, what receipt notice? The old I-765? That is not necessary. Your top #1, 2, and 4 is all you need (and for #4, either passport or driver's license, you only need one clear photo ID and not more). This is her application based on her I-485, so your documents are not relevant.

As Pdesai1 said that She is the derivative applicant on I485 and Pdesai1 being primary, So, No need to submit the Primary applicant I485 receipt notice as a (valid) Pending AOS?

Correct - the EAD application only requires that the applicant has a pending I-485. It doesn't matter what the I-485 is based on (primary or derivative) as long as it exists and it is properly pending. Therefore, only the EAD applicant's I-485 receipt is needed. The spouse's receipt is not relevant.

Do you have to send Driver's license or passport as well? Since you have to send copies of EAD, why do you need the another photo id?

what needs to be attached, clearly mentioned on the application itself.. in supporting documents requirement.... it is straight forward...

Yes, that didnt say Drivers license or passport for EAD renewal. I want to clarify this as this will cause some confusion for the folks who follow this thread.

The instructions state that if you file a copy of your previous EAD (front and back), that will suffice. You need one clear form of ID with a clear picture of your face. If you think your EAD copy is not clear enough, then you can also send a copy of some other identity document. But only one form of ID is required, and if the previous EAD copy is clear, then that's enough.
