I wonder if anyone has faced this dilemma before. The I-134 carries a lot about one's financial condition, and I would hesitate to disclose it to even close relatives. My parents are having the B visa interview in July. It is very likely that the I-134 information can be reviewed by other relatives who will escort my parents to the Mumbai consulate.
What are my alternatives? In the appointment letter it is mentioned that you can not take sealed envelopes inside the consulate, so I can not ask my parents not to open the I-134 documents and hand them over directly to the consular.
