Conditional GC and beyond

My wife has a conditional GC. But because of some family stuff she has to go back to her home country. We will be eligible to apply removal of condition in Dec, 2014 only. I have a few questions:

1) Can I still submit the application in US though she is not present in US?
2) USCIS may call us for interview for removal of condition. If she can't be in US at that time then what can we do?
3) In worst case scenario, her GC may become invalid as she couldn't attend the interview. Then can I re-apply for Conditional GC for her again? Does it take same time as original or more?

Thanks and appreciate for your help,

1. yes
2. She needs to be in the U.S. for the interview. You may be able to reschedule it if she will be back soon.
3. Yes. And when she gets her GC it won't be conditional because you guys have been married for more than 2 years
