I am about to become a citizen soon, and I am preparing the documents for filing I-130 and I-485 for my wife. Some experts please advice. I noticed that if concurrently file I-130 with Form I-485, Application to Register Permanent Residence or Adjust Status, submit both forms concurrently to:

U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services
P.O. Box 805887
Chicago, IL 60680-4107

For couriers/express deliveries:
USCIS
Attn: FBAS 131 South Dearborn - 3rd Floor
Chicago, IL 60603-5517

I want to know if the express deliveries address has faster processing time. I plan to use us postal service overnight, which address should I send to? can some one please provide an answer? Also I have additional question - As the US citizen petitioner for I-130, shall I provide a copy of my birth certificate. Is it required?Again, I mean the US citizen not the spouse who wants to apply green card. Thanks in advance for your answers.

USPS mails go to PO Box 805887 chicago, il 60680 .....Petitioner's birth certificate is not required but would not hurt if sent, but beneficiary's is definitely required or in absence of that would require minimum of 2 affidavits from relatives attesting to fact of birth of your wife and marriage. You should also send I-864 along with I-130/485/765/131/693

Carriers like Fedex don't deliver to PO Boxes. USPS delivers to either. I used USPS with the South Dearborn address because I figured I don't know how long my package will sit in the PO box. No difference in processing times.

jupiter07,
you mean sending to the South Dearborn address may have much shorter delay since it is for express, and the P.O.Box address may keep my package longer?
also, do I need the return of receipt or delivery confirmation should be good enough? I am concerned that return of receipt may significantly delay since the package will wait for some one to sign before it can be delivered.

The difference is in delivery depending on the service yu choose and the carrier: USPS or UPS or Fedex, etc. USPS has overnight delivery too, UPS has 2 day, 4 day etc.

A delivery confirmation should be good enough. Sending to Dearborn doesn't translate to no delay. Sending to PO box means the packages are delivered to a PO Box and I don't now how often the box is checked. So I prefered the Dearborn address. Nobody said so, just my own weird thoughts. I don't even think there is a difference in time in terms of opening yr package. I believe the two addresses are just for different carriers like UPS doesn't deliver to PO Boxes.

It does not matter which address you use. Non of them will get your app processed faster. This Po Box is not like a regular Po Box you have at the local post. There is thousand and thousand apps every day.
