Hello,

How are you all doing?

I would like if there is any impact on the timing and procedure for concurrent vs. separate filing.

I heard from Chicago phone system that my labor is certified last week. i have not heard from my lawyers office yet.

Now that i am ready to move on to the next step, if someone could explain on the differences. I am married (wife on H-4) and have a son( (US Citizen).

Is it better to file concurrently (nebraska) or separately?

thanks for all you reply,

Congratulations on your LC approval and good luck with your rest of the GC process.

Discuss your issue with your attorney as he/she knows your case details better. Do not go by what we say here on this forum.

Since they go by notice date for approvals (in general), then the sooner you file I485, the better. Wife will get EAD faster and be able to work.

The cons: maybe you will have to wait longer than 15 months for I485 to be approved, in which case medical/fingerprints might need to be redone (more $$$).

However, I don't know if any concurrent filers have been aproved yet, so can't tell which is better for sure.
