concurrent filling

I'm applying for I-140 through NIW and I hired an attorney just for I-140. I'm thinking whether should I also apply for I-485.
Is there a deadline to submit I-485 after I sent for I-140 so the filling is concurrent?
My husband in on H4 so he could start to work if I apply for I-485.

For the I-485 we need to send birth certificates. They should be translated in English. What kind of service do you use for translation, whether from your homecountry or here?
 
you can apply 485 only if you are not from a retrogressed country...check the state dept website - visa bulletin for november - to see if EB2 priority date is current.

no, there is no deadline. EB2 is current for you which means you can send in your 485 along with the 140, or anytime after you recieve the recipt for the 140, or after you recieve the approval for the 140. Its really up to you.

As for translations, sorry - have no idea. All my documents were in English. Didnt have to deal with this.
